The Sexuality of LadiesWeb
I have been running LadiesWeb for years now. I started this site out of a love of erotica and to provide quality erotica to ladies regardless of their sexuality. Lately, I have come under fire for not be "bisexual or lesbian" enough. I have received several emails in the last few months from women stating that they though with a name like LadiesWeb that there would be more to appeal to lesbians. That there are plenty of sites out there for straight women, and hardly any for lesbians.
First I would like to start out by saying, there are other quality sites out there for lesbian, and straight women. The difference is this (as I see it anyways) not that many of the sites are as big as LadiesWeb. I didn't believe it for a while. I denied and argued and laughed it off, but somehow, while I wasn't paying attention, LadiesWeb grew into a big site. There are over 250 authors/poets posted here. There are over 600 stories and poems. True, LadiesWeb may not be as big as some, but for the most part, she does rank up there with the big ones. Not bad considering there is only one person doing the work, and most of the writings are requested to be here, not submitted. For some reason, submission are still few and far between.
That said, I don't do LadiesWeb for lesbians. I didn't create LadiesWeb for straight women. LadiesWeb wasn't meant to be a haven for bisexuals. The point, the intent, the reason for LadiesWeb was simply this ... to provide quality written erotica for ladies, regardless of their sexuality. I say it on the very first page. I started this page out saying it. Quality erotica for ladies regardless of their sexuality ...
